Resources

Whenever you make a purchase, you are assuming responsibility for the life of the item. You are also buying the raw material, labor and manufacturing, shipping, cost of advertising, point of sale and, eventually, time in the landfill. Our personal consumption habits impact not only our homes and offices, but extend around the world.

Finding an appropriate source to accept items that no longer fulfill your needs can be a major hurdle in de-cluttering. It’s easier to let go of something if you can find a good home for it.

I’m an ardent recycler, and have been known to pull items out of a dumpster to dispose of more appropriately. When I work with a client, I help them to dispose of items in the most earth friendly way possible, whether it be re-sale, donation, recycle or even trash.

Click here for a PDF list of both local (Rochester, New York / Monroe County) and national resources to help you get rid of unwanted items in a responsible manner.
